A little bit of a reminder to myself and others - mobility matters.
I’ve decided to be less of a “share-y” person lately, so the blog is going dark. Not that I have posted much lately, but c’est la vie. Be well, stay strong.
My lifting progress, seven months in. Needless to say, coming from barely being able to lift an empty oly bar, I’m surprised and very proud of myself.
Bench is lagging behind the rest, but I’m doing accessory work to help that. Getting those dips, lat pulldowns and skullcrushers in on a regular basis!
In summation: That sucked rotten eggs.
Since I followed the 5/3/1 to a T the first time through, I’m kind of wondering if I can go six weeks between deload cycles, or if that’s too long. From my preliminary research, deloads are typically 4-8 weeks apart.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Hit the ask box or reblog - I’d love to hear it.
Back to lifting MORE starting tomorrow.
This was the advice (verbatim) bestowed upon me by a Fitocracy member, when I asked about how to start dating:
#1 Find guy
#2 hit on head with olympic bar
#3 deadlift guy
#4 farmer’s walk back to Valkyrie den
#5 “other cardio”
All the single ladies, check out these fine bennies from weightlifting!
(Although I’m pretty sure steps 2-4 aren’t required…)
